Context
Making the first car commercial for Millenials.
In 2016, the top YouTuber in the world posted a video showing off his new car: a rusty, 1992 Nissan Micra. So, when Nissan tasked us to make the 2016 Nissan Micra a car for Millennials, we decided it was time to invite PewDiePie to make the sequel.
The original video
In “My New Car II”, PewDiePie reviews the new Micra in a way only he can do it, taking the inside jokes and wackiness of the first film to a whole new level. The result was an organic and unconventional ad that people loved to watch and that made the car, and Nissan, look cool.
